Specialist expertise for
electromembrane innovation

GREENNOVATION helps industrial teams deveolp, validate and improve technologies based on ion-exchange membranes and electromembrane processes.

Our Vision

We bring together deep technical knowledge, practical R&D experience and a clear understanding of the challenges faced by startups and industrial innovation teams.

Our clients come to us when membrane-related questions become critical for the success of their technology.

OUR STORY

Greennovation was founded by Wendy, PhD, to support companies developing advanced membrane and electrochemical processes.

After years working in the field of ion-exchange membranes and electromembrane technologies, we saw a recurring challenge: many companies have promising concepts, but lack access to highly specialised expertise at the right moment.

This can slow down development, create uncertainty and lead to costly experimental loops. Greennovation was created to close this gap.

We provide flexible, high-level technical support for teams that need to understand membranes, validate processes, troubleshoot performance and prepare the next stage of development.

Our field of expertise:

Ion-exchange
membranes

Electrodialysis

Bipolar membrane electrodialysis

Electromembrane process engineering

Membrane characterization

Membrane autopsy and failure analysis

Feasibility studies and pilot support

Characterization equipment and test cells

This technical focus allows us to work on complex challenges where membrane properties, process conditions and scale-up decisions are closely connected.

Who we support

We are especially useful when internal teams need specialist support before recruiting, before piloting, before investment decisions, or when troubleshooting requires independent expertise. We work with:

Industrial startups

Deeptech companies

Corporate R&D teams

Membrane developers

Electrochemical process developers

Research and innovation teams preparing industrial validation

This service is useful when:

  • Your voltage increases unexpectedly during operation
  • Current efficiency decreases over time
  • Product quality or purity is lower than expected
  • Membranes show deformation, cracking or delamination
  • You observe leakage, crossover or contamination
  • Pilot performance is different from lab performance
  • You need an independent technical diagnosis before redesigning the process

Deliverables can include:

  • Failure analysis report
  • Membrane autopsy observations
  • Root-cause hypotheses
  • Comparison with reference samples
  • Recommendations for additional tests
  • Corrective or preventive action plan

Without a structured diagnosis, teams may change the wrong parameter, reject the wrong membrane or redesign the wrong part of the system.

Failure analysis helps reduce trial-and-error troubleshooting and supports more reliable process improvement.
